Moyra’s background was originally in nursing where she was in charge of a busy ward in a major teaching hospital in London. This has been followed by substantial training in mental health and couple & family therapy.
Moyra has been working with individuals, couples and families for more than 30 years. Up until recently she has worked part-time for over 30 years as a Senior Child & Family Therapist, Group Facilitator, Trainer & Senior Clinical Supervisor with a Child & Family Counselling Service. She has also worked in private practice for the past 25 years.
Moyra’s focus has encompassed facilitating Prepare pre-marriage courses for couples as well as supporting individuals, couples & families through challenging life transitions including post separation counselling. Her experience includes in addition working with Anxiety, Depression, Domestic Violence, Conflict Management, Family of Origin issues, Trauma including Childhood Sexual Abuse, Grief and Loss and Carer Sensitive Counselling.
Moyra offers a compassionate, safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential environment for exploring issues and concerns. She is mindful of the need for a sensitivity to specific issues related to gender, culture, sexual orientation and disabilities.
Availability and Rates
Hours – Mondays 12pm – 7:30pm
Fees – $190 per one hour counselling session
